Is currently searching for important Healthcare distribution company:
LOGISTICS MANAGER
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Will report to the VP Logistics LATAM.
Direct all Distribution Operations between the company and the 3rd Party Logistics Provider in Montevideo, Uruguay.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Publish key operational performance metrics each month to report on the attainment of Key performance indicators.
2. Manage local customs brokerage process and outbound carrier management.
3. Drive continuous process improvement and lead-time reduction. Establish and monitor service provider performance against clearly defined KPIs.
4. Liaise with internal and external managers in support of international trade activities.
5. Manage local supply-chain security initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education required/ preferred:
§ Required - Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Finance or similar
Experience:
§ 3-5 years in Distribution Operations / International Logistics
§ 2 years in a supervisory role
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
§ Bilingual required (English and Spanish)
§ Basic Accounting skills preferred
§ Six Sigma Experience and / or certification strongly preferred
§ Proven supervisory skills and ability to effectively manage indirect reports
§ Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to influence others through demonstrated expertise
§ Experience managing Logistics Service Providers
Skills/Competencies:
§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
§ Ability to conduct training and present to large groups
Intermediate user of Microsoft PowerPoint, Access and Excel
Experience with hands-on utilization of current supply chain software applications and systems.
Proven track record of meeting/exceeding customer commitments. Highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with strong data management and analysis skills.
§ Ability to handle multiple projects. Prioritize tasks to ensure day to day elements are managed.
